Obituary for Keith Arthur Brown

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Keith Arthur Brown on Thursday January 18, 2024, in Hospice Cape Breton.

Born January 27, 1954, in Glace Bay, he was a son of Olive (Crocker) and the late Arthur Brown.

Keith had many interests from gardening to renovating. He was an avid animal lover and Zach and Abby held a special place in his heart. In his younger years, Keith enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and playing guitar. He was always the life of the party. Keith looked forward to family gatherings, as long as he didn't have to cook! He had a great work ethic and took pride in passing this trait on to his children.

As a family, the things we will miss the most about Keith is his unwavering moral compass, his descriptive storytelling, his problem-solving skills, his sense of humor and of course, his huge heart. You may be gone, but will never be forgotten. You have earned every minute of this much needed rest. Fly high Sweetpea!

Keith is survived by his wife, Cheryl MacNevin-Brown; children, Treason (Rachel) Brown, Dartmouth, Curtis (Stacey) MacNevin, Sydney, James MacNevin, Sydney, Sherri (Allan) Boudreau, Sydney, Jenny (Maria) Brown, BC and Brandy (James) Brown, BC; sisters, Lisa Brown, Glace Bay and Cathy Brown (Wayne), Nanaimo; brother, Blair (Gerardette) Brown, River Ryan;many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He had a special bond with his granddaughter, Camarrah, who lived with him.

Keith was predeceased by his brother, Shane.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County.
